Making Sense of Self: Person-Centred Counselling & People with Dementia

This interactive workshop will build on the already significant counselling skills of the group and develop their knowledge of people with dementia. It will focus specifically on the issues concerning men and women with dementia in counselling, the effects on their partners and families and our relationships with professional colleagues.
At the end of the day, participants will:
Training will comprise pairs work, interactive discussion, handout materials, evaluations and certificates.
Danuta Lipinska has a BA in Psychology and is a qualified nurse. She holds a Mater’s degree in Counselling and is a MBACP (Accred) counsellor in private practice. A free lance trainer with over twenty years experience in both the UK and USA she has worked in most health and social care environments and across the spectrum of mental health and older adults. Danuta has designed and managed counselling services and groups for people with dementia, for family carers and professionals. An international conference presenter, facilitator and writer, her first book on this topic will be published soon.
Fees for all events are payable in advance. Limited reductions may be available in cases of financial hardship. Cancellations at less than one week’s notice will not be refunded. Refunds less 20% will be made if cancellations are received up to one week before the date of the event. If it is necessary for us to cancel an event we will notify you and refund the full fee.
