Person-centred Expressive Therapy
Creative Expression and Connection through the Arts
A residential weekend
with
Tess Sturrock
Person-Centred Expressive Therapist, Trainer & Counsellor
Friday 31st October—Sunday 2nd November 2008
In the midst of global warming and conflict, why spend time in self-discovery?
In the words of Thomas a Kempis, ‘First be peaceful yourself and you will be able to bring peace to others’.
As we spend time connecting deeply to ourselves, so our capacity for clear and deep connection, free from projection, to the earth, our friends and our foes, is enhanced.
This workshop offers an opportunity to discover and express whatever lies within, through colour, image, sound, movement and writing, using the arts in connection with one another. A session might include expression in movement and sound, followed by painting and then writing. Each expression tends to open the individual more deeply to her or himself, and through this to others.
Person-centred Expressive Therapy was pioneered by Natalie Rogers and is underpinned by the philosophy of her father, Carl.
Tess Sturrock trained with Natalie and has over 20 years experience of working with this approach. She co-initiated expressive therapy training in the UK.
