Counselling Young People (11-18 years)

Date: 2019

The Norwich Centre is developing training for working with young people and we are pleased to announce that we are proposing to offer the first stage of training for working with young people 11-18 years next year (2019) in partnership with the Mancroft Advice Project.

This training will be based on the BACP training curriculum (Counselling Young People (11-18 years) training curriculum BACP 2017) for working with this age group and informed by the person-centred philosophy and ethos of the Norwich Centre and MAP.

There is rising concern for the mental health of young people and a need for qualified practitioners to deliver counselling in a range of environments in an ethical and effective way.

Course Structure

This training will be delivered in two parts; the first part will be an Introduction to Counselling Young People delivered over 4 weekends of 2 days each, and the second part will be a formal award in counselling young people.

To express an interest in this course please email training@norwichcentre.org and we will contact you when further details are available.
